Pros

Talent & People: The bar is set very high so everyone you work with is exceptional at what they do and fun to be around. I have learned more in 1 year at Whatnot than in the 4 years at my previous company. Benefits: The benefits are so good that I often find myself lying to my friends & family about them so that they aren't so jealous. Remote & Office Culture: A dream hybrid situation. There is 0 pressure to go into an office but there are also beautiful offices around the world that you can work from with local teams if you choose. More people voluntarily go into the office here to spend time with coworkers than in my previous companies that forced us to go in and people still wouldn't show up. They are doing something right!

Cons

We work a lot and you face a new challenge every day (but an exciting one!) The lighting fast pace may not be for everyone but you are surrounded by incredible people and talent that make you want to work harder.

Pros

Strong culture, leadership really encourages feedback and listens/acts. I feel very supported by my manager and loyal to the company and the mission

Cons

Whatnot is all-consuming sometimes, but none of the work feels like a waste of time like at other companies

Pros

Good healthcare and good benefits.

Cons

Increasingly corporate culture Benefits slowly being rolled back every year Must use PTO for any holidays you want off as Ops agent/specialist Utter lack of leadership. Revolving door of managers because they refuse to promote internally for years Repetitive, dull work Toxic work culture. Very petty people in management who don’t accept anything but yes men Virtually no training established and hardly any SOPs written. What little there are of both are very poorly executed (aka people brand new to the work doing the training) No upward mobility whatsoever Arbitrary pay scales and performance reviews not necessarily aligned with performance or tenure. Disclaimer: experience entirely dependent on what team you’re on. Avoid T&R like the plague.
