Pros

Stipends Work from home Great team members

Cons

The overall work load doesn’t match the pay. The only agents that are able to meet the metric system are the tenured agents. They expect you to know as much as the tenured agents within 2 weeks of training. Training was very basic and it wasn’t engaging. Then they throw you into seller support where you have no idea how to answer sellers because the training on seller support was all about preparing to go live & that was where we spent a week preparing. The supervisors act like they are there to support you, but show favoritism towards other colleagues. If you’re not in the ‘in crowd’ you won’t succeed. They are very good with gaslighting you when you ask about your other peers meeting metrics. Their philosophy is that they give you all these stipends to compensate for the fact that you have to spend day in and day out tirelessly answering tickets not even to be compensated properly. They have a very high turn over rate. The training class I was in was told that we would have 1 more day of training so we could ask questions, and this never happened. Everyone from my training class was struggling to meet the metrics. You would think that they would adjust the training methods to help with what they’re asking, but they never did. If you don’t catch onto what they are asking for quick enough, they terminate you.

Pros

Strong culture, leadership really encourages feedback and listens/acts. I feel very supported by my manager and loyal to the company and the mission

Cons

Whatnot is all-consuming sometimes, but none of the work feels like a waste of time like at other companies

Pros

Good healthcare and good benefits.

Cons

Increasingly corporate culture Benefits slowly being rolled back every year Must use PTO for any holidays you want off as Ops agent/specialist Utter lack of leadership. Revolving door of managers because they refuse to promote internally for years Repetitive, dull work Toxic work culture. Very petty people in management who don’t accept anything but yes men Virtually no training established and hardly any SOPs written. What little there are of both are very poorly executed (aka people brand new to the work doing the training) No upward mobility whatsoever Arbitrary pay scales and performance reviews not necessarily aligned with performance or tenure. Disclaimer: experience entirely dependent on what team you’re on. Avoid T&R like the plague.
