Pros

Relaxed business environment, yearly bonuses (this year we got two because one was for inflation), salary increases (2%), good group comradery

Cons

needs moe vacation days (you start at 10 days when you first get hired), no sick days, pay could be higher, more flexibility for work/home balance especially on a jobsite

Pros

Had an opportunity to experience and see many aspects of pre-construction process and the development of ongoing projects. Was treated with respect, they were very understanding that I was just an intern regarding the knowledge I was expected to have. Was corrected when I made a mistake in a way that made me feel like I could get it right next time.

Cons

Early morning, some long days. Just the nature of construction.

Pros

The company has great leadership scattered between the different offices. The pay can be really good if you are a top performer, which just is through effort and giving your all to the job. It's a company that I was able to believe and follow the leadership and have lasting mentorships spanning a decade even after leaving. It is a company that I saw adapt and change over my time there. The changes were always an effort to make it better for the employee while maintaining a profitable business. I saw them listen to complaints and desires of employees and bring changes into action. It is a large company, so things take time, but I first hand saw changes. Also, if you talk about your long term life goals, have patience, are a good employee, they will help you reach your goals. Health care benefits are great too.

Cons

Construction can be a tiring industry. Long hours, tough days sometimes filled with emotions from trying to get the project moving forward. But my leadership was always understanding of this. They recognize and reward directly and indirectly the effort and work you put in. The golden handcuffs of the stocks is a downside. Living in expensive areas can be tough
