The company operates on the idea of progressing the individual to support the whole. They give their technicians competitive wages, efficiency bonus opportunities based on two things-efficiency of jobs completed and amount of downtime. They give you everything you need to get the job done and expect their technicians to have accountability and integrity. Service trucks are brand new, I got mine with 300 miles on it. There are so many good things about working for this company that you have to be a part of to experience.
Cons
Corporate structure makes things difficult as there can be a disconnect between HQ and the individual branches. I've been asked to do things I do not feel comfortable doing as a technician which could jeopardize my career, ie turning a blind eye to deficiencies on units because of who the customers are. I also feel there is a lack of adequate training in crane/boom yet were expected to be able to diagnose these complex systems without the software to communicate with them. This isn't wholly a fault with the company as HIAB will not give out their software. I also feel like you have to fight for every additional dollar on your base pay or they will not give it to you. At times you can feel unseen and unheard and under appreciated. Very little recognition for hard work done.
