Pros

A great place to work overall. Teams are very communicative and supportive of one another and line managers are very clear of expectations and offer plenty of support and advice to meet goals. No benchmark for working during a lockdown so subjectively I felt I had people I was working with rather than for to achieve very clear common goals. Senior leadership makes a concerted effort to disseminate vital information and collaborate.

Cons

Many Wiley employees have been with the company for 5+ sometimes 15+ years so have a depth of personal background on the inner workings which might be a put-off for anyone joining in because it's the network of people that you need to interact with to keep these teams performing. Vertical development is a bit slow and hard to traverse but like many careers, it depends on the level of effort you put into it. Compensation is lower compared to others in a similar position in the marketplace, but its not uniform and a taboo subject.
