Pros
Always had freedom to do my job the way in which suited me best. Always have more than enough access to leaders and managers for guidance. Generally access to tools and tech to do the jobs is good as well. Overall mission and purpose is very clear and broadly a very worthwhile humanitarian endeavour whilst also having to be a profit company.
Cons
Internal processes, are very slow and also incredibly cumbersome. Due diligence is a must, but often times the process for starting something, moving it along and getting signed off is murky, and the support team involved appear overworked and as a result not always willing to help. This means that if you don't plan for something at least 6 to 12 months in advance, it can be a challenge to change direction, spend money, or pivot unless it comes from very high up down. As a result I question how fast things can change and be responded to in the market.
