Pros

Remote work is the only pro

Cons

I have been a recruitment consultant with other companies and had wonderful experiences, my experience with WilsonHCG was far from it. I am not new in my career and had strong performance but was spoken to like a child from day 1. The micromanaging in this company is next level regardless of your experience or performance. This is incredibly demotivating. On top of that, you are treated like a number and nothing more. I understand that remote connection can be challenging but there seems to be no effort on this front. They advertise unlimited PTO but that is not truly the case and even company holidays were, at times, taken away on a team level. Hours of internal meetings on a daily basis discussing things that could easily be handled via email or spreadsheet (especially when there is no effort to truly connect on these calls anyway) and then leadership wants to know why more calls weren’t made that day. I felt like there wasn’t a true care for the clients we worked with like I’ve seen with other companies. All promotions were frozen so career opportunities if you wanted to grow were not there. With that said, there could still be some focus on development but I did not see that on my team. Overall a very soulless feeling to the company. I was not alone in this feeling as when I let teammates (on multiple accounts) know I had chosen to resign for other opportunities, they all said they wished it was them. That’s not a good sign for your culture.

We work really hard on our engagement strategies as we have such a large number of employees who work remotely, so we're disappointed to hear this. We also put a lot of effort into fostering a collaborative culture and our recent award wins would attest to this. In 2023, WilsonHCG earned the Great Place To Work Certification for the third year in a row.

Pros

I've experienced great leadership under a number of different accounts over the past 4 years at Wilson. There is room for growth, professional development, and genuine teamwork mindset toward providing the best service possible to our clients.

Cons

No real cons from my experience working here over the past 4 years.

Pros

Unlimited PTO is genuinely respected and easy to use. Full work-from-home flexibility

Cons

No salary increase whatsoever in 4 years despite consistent performance and loyalty. Bonuses have been significantly cut or eliminated. Company conducted layoffs just a few months ago and is now actively hiring again — creates instability and poor planning. Real compensation is decreasing every year due to rising health insurance premiums, taxes, and cost of living. After 4 years, it’s becoming very difficult to make ends meet. CEO was just replaced and it’s unclear where the company is heading, adding more uncertainty on top of the financial issues. Lack of recognition or financial reward for long-term employees makes staying here unsustainable.
