Pros

Everyone is friendly and works hard. Supporting grocery operations is interesting and exciting. Consumers will always need food and at our low prices, there is job security. Customers seem to really love WinCo.

Cons

I am a salary employee. I entered by job profession to have the ability to work from home due, but WinCo does not offer this. Even working from home once a week would be beneficial. Paid time off is very low, only 2 weeks for the first 7 years of employment and if you are hourly (which a lot are), you cannot take that time until you are employed for a year. I feel bad for the hourly folks who accumulating "points" for EVERYTHING (not a good thing). Hourly employees using their sick days receive points. It seems wrong to punish employees for using something that is allowed. Everyone has been there forever, leaving little career advancement.

Pros

Great co workers, upbeat, fast paced (makes the time fly by), excellent pay, good work/life balance and the employee insurance package is outstanding

Cons

The point system is notoriously strict. You won’t start at 40 hours per week - hours may vary. Breaks are only ten minutes, barely enough time for a bathroom break
