Pros

-Love the team at the store level -Discount -Weekly operations and tasks are clearly planned out -Given a lot of responsibility -Effective and frequent communication from corporate

Cons

-Scheduling is extremely difficult for work-life balance: frequently get the next week's schedule in as little as 2 days before. This makes it extremely difficult to plan essential tasks that require scheduling such as doctor's appointments, much less for personal time or a social life. -We can't request off due to very long black out periods (February to June, October to January). -Long shifts (10 hours regularly scheduled, up to 12 hours is not uncommon) that result in overtime (I had been in overtime 10 weeks in a row... while the overtime pay was nice, it was exhausting). When trying to cut shifts when the store was slow and in an effort to reduce overtime (because it is communicated from corporate that hourly employees are not supposed to be in overtime) we often got in trouble. Yet I often landed into overtime due to covering shifts, needing to complete mandatory tasks, needing coverage, etc. It is a double edged sword. In trouble for being in overtime, or in trouble for not staying past scheduled times to complete what was necessary, or in trouble for cutting shifts short when we were rarely able to due to proper coverage. -Unprofessional behavior from higher-ups. Again, store-level team is amazing, but I have had experience from corporate visit(s) that really went against the company's values from corporate employee's behaviors/conversations taking place. Other standard cons for the industry such as: retail hours (including some holidays), occasional rude customers, high turnover, frequent call outs from staff.

Pros

The company has a great culture and is led by a team of incredible executives. In the field, we are given the trust and freedom to run our districts like our own business. Leadership values my input and communication and expectations are clear. The the work-life balance is highly supported. Excellent bonus structure if your stores hit their targets. The company fosters growth from within and provides tools and training to help develop leadership skills. My peers and mentors create a collaborative and fun environment.

Cons

The stores are very fast paced so it can be challenging to retain employees. A car allowance would be beneficial for all the wear and tear we put on our personal vehicles with so much driving
