Pros

The best reason to work at WSSU is the time off during the Christmas holiday. They do require you to use your vacation time to fill in the full 2-weeks, but it is a good perk to have about 2wks off during the holidays.

Cons

No advancement opportunities, but you do get the chance to be assigned additional duties with no pay. You may go for 3-5 years without a raise, while parking, and health insurance premiums go up. Once hired, be ready to accept additional duties of at least 3 other jobs b/c there is no budget to hire additional help. Mgmt is bad about wanting to keep their star employees from seeking out other opportunities within the instituion.
