Pros

Generally affordable healthcare options, no limits to 401k deposits, even for HCM employees, quarterly bonus payouts

Cons

You are not empowered to manage your own career, only leaders in your vertical can place you in roles. If you are on the bench, depending on your level, you will be released after 30 days, minimum to roughly 60 days maximum. Leadership seems to embrace this type of contractor set up work relationship and relish in it. Global CEO wonders why turnover is at 25%, while it’s these types of policies that lead directly to people jumping ship. Some employees have unlimited PTO, but you may be challenged at some point regarding your PTO plans and your PTO may not be approved. Where other companies offer unlimited and empower and trust their employees to manage it, Wipro really doesn’t understand their own policy and certainly it doesn’t seem that they truly embrace it.

Pros

Good coworkers and project opportunities. It is up to you to pursue these opportunities.

Cons

HR and immigration folks need to be transparent. Immigration team submitted my visa petition for premium processing, but my visa didn't get approved on time. When I asked immigration for an explanation, they just cited "delays" and were vague in their responses. I asked for documentation on when the premium processing was sent and they did not respond nor provide anything. My 240-day extension for my visa ended, so I was not working for some time. I was a few days away from getting approved. HR then terminates me out of nowhere, saying that I am not authorized to work. Even my manager did not know that I was being terminated. I spoke with immigration who said that I had already been taken off payroll and I would be reinstated once the visa was approved. Even the immigration team said that the termination should not have happened. HR just pulled the trigger and it has impacted me greatly.
