Cons
A word to the wise: WK is a large, multi-national corporation with multiple divisions (in Health, Tax and Accounting, Legal, etc.). When researching WK on Glassdoor, try to search specifically for the division, and, if possible, the location you are considering. There are huge differences. Now the cons in the Tax & Accounting division: With the exception perhaps of salespeople, compensation lags significantly behind the industry for similar jobs. Recently hired middle managers from other industries have little to no knowledge of the software or accounting industries -- and have expressly said they don't need to learn about them. I've heard well-respected and high-performing veteran employees try to politely offer insights and suggestions. Their concerns and suggestions are dismissed with an arrogance that is staggering. The company was just reorganized for at least the fourth time since I've been here (about 10 years). There is little to no effort to retain good employees. If people leave, sometimes after trying for a long time to help make things better, management just claims that the people leaving couldn't handle change. Recent efforts to improve employee engagement have centered on superficial things like creating an employee lounge and establishing an employee council that has NO authority and NO budget.
