Pros

Nice people, Colorado is beautiful.

Cons

Pay, vacation, work, and leadership. Pay: The pay for an engineer is low and doesn’t get better with time as all the veteran employees complained about pay. Bonus target is a marketing tactic only. Vacation: They let you “buy back vacation days” read “unpaid time off”. Vacation days do not rollover. They are cutting benefits quickly, people that started 6 months before me had better vacation benefits. Work: The projects were a mix between data entry and copy-paste from the last project. There was not a lot of work to do. No progression or succession plans and 90% of the workforce is 0-7 years from retirement. Leadership: "Woodward announces $800 million stock buyback and won't be able pay your bonuses this year". Sorry, but there are only 7,200 employees and that stock buyback represents over $100,000 per employee - you really can't afford to pay a bonus to the working class employees? Woodward is stuck in the 1980's corporate raider mentality of "cut employee benefits and pay to increase share price which ultimately enriches the CEO, board of directors, and shareholders." Is this the best Woodward's management could come up with on how to invest extra capital?

Pros

Great with previous leadership. But then...

Cons

New leadership is not as dedicated to employees as previous (although bonuses have been better). New middle management there is a lot of nepotism. Once a stable company, layoffs have been a common occurrence since COVID.
