Pros

My team are really friendly, they even sent me a birthday present despite still being in my probation period. Everyone I’ve met is helpful and willing to take time to explain things. The culture seems really accepting, encouraging people to ask questions and get stuck in. There is also a great focus on wellbeing and also recognition - with great reward schemes and a lovely award ceremony was held last week, which was nice to see! I’ve joined the inclusion Alliance and the social teams, which has shown me how much care is given to all groups of people. And they have recently held summer socials, putting budget towards getting everyone together for fun events like darts.

Cons

It’s a very fast paced environment - which could be a pro or a con depending on the person. It is a lot to learn quickly, but that’s the only con I could say!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, especially so early in your journey with WorkNest. We're delighted to hear that you've felt welcomed and supported by your team from the outset and that you've enjoyed getting involved with the Inclusion Alliance and social initiatives. Creating opportunities for colleagues to connect, celebrate diversity and build relationships across the business is an important part of our culture, and it's great that you've already been able to experience this first-hand. We're equally pleased that our focus on wellbeing and recognition has stood out to you. Whether through our reward schemes, colleague celebrations or company events, we want our people to feel valued for the contribution they make. Thank you also for your honest feedback about the pace of the business. As a growing organisation, there is a lot to learn, particularly in the early stages of a role. We recognise that this can be challenging at times, but we're committed to providing the support and development needed to help our colleagues succeed. Thank you again for your feedback, and we look forward to seeing your continued success at WorkNest. Katie Muncaster, CPO

Pros

Career opportunities are good. Salaries are decent. There are some nice individuals within the business.

Cons

Awful, awful dictatorship style management from the top down. Massive labour turnover. An utterly ridiculously political environment. Some leaders in the business are more concerned with escalating their own image and financial worth within the business and they are happy to use you as cannon fodder. Lied to, on a number of occasions. Told there would be a secure job for us after restructures, only to find out some of our jobs had already been recruited for and then individuals previously told there would be a place for them at WN have then been made redundant. They literally couldn't care less about your wellbeing if they tried... They have just launched a wellbeing charter - which would be great. However on recent group meetings there has even been ridiculous things like a 'car park hierarchy' where the senior people in the business get to park closer to the door, and the minions have to park further down the car park. Awful, awful, awful, toxic and damaging environment.

Thank you for taking the time to write this feedback. We're so sorry to hear of your experiences and can assure you that a great deal of work has been carried out recently to set the foundation for a positive culture within WorkNest, including the articulation of our Values and holding people to account if they are not aligned to these. We are also progressing our leadership development and I can assure you that no such hierarchy exists today. Thank you for your contribution and we wish you well in your future plans.
