Pros

Fantastic company to work for with multiple benefits and great ethos. The company has had a major investment within the last year and is moving in the right direction and I would recommend working at this company to anyone for the future.

Cons

I think the only downside is if you don't drive then due to where it is situated is difficult to commute to via public transport.

Hello and thank you for your review of working at EW. We know that one of the few disadvantages of our beautiful location just 5 miles south of Chester is the reduced access to public transport. We encourage car sharing with financial incentives for those colleagues who do share a lift to our Chester office. Our Glasgow offices are right in the heart of the city centre where there isn't the same challenge! It is great to hear that you enjoy working at EW and appreciate the range of benefits we offer, and wish you continued success in your role. Thanks again for taking time to write about EW on Glassdoor.

Pros

Career opportunities are good. Salaries are decent. There are some nice individuals within the business.

Cons

Awful, awful dictatorship style management from the top down. Massive labour turnover. An utterly ridiculously political environment. Some leaders in the business are more concerned with escalating their own image and financial worth within the business and they are happy to use you as cannon fodder. Lied to, on a number of occasions. Told there would be a secure job for us after restructures, only to find out some of our jobs had already been recruited for and then individuals previously told there would be a place for them at WN have then been made redundant. They literally couldn't care less about your wellbeing if they tried... They have just launched a wellbeing charter - which would be great. However on recent group meetings there has even been ridiculous things like a 'car park hierarchy' where the senior people in the business get to park closer to the door, and the minions have to park further down the car park. Awful, awful, awful, toxic and damaging environment.

Thank you for taking the time to write this feedback. We're so sorry to hear of your experiences and can assure you that a great deal of work has been carried out recently to set the foundation for a positive culture within WorkNest, including the articulation of our Values and holding people to account if they are not aligned to these. We are also progressing our leadership development and I can assure you that no such hierarchy exists today. Thank you for your contribution and we wish you well in your future plans.
