Pros

Some very capable colleagues, some very nice, some good managers. Some good work and clients. But vice versa too!

Cons

Worknest comprises lots of unrelated companies, who have little to do with each other. Used to be owned by Marlowe plc. Sold to private equity investors. Red flag right there. Research carefully if you’re thinking of joining- who knows if and when it will get broken up. Some aggressive colleagues, partly work pressure induced. Some treat others badly if you get on the wrong side of them. Lot of things aren’t done professionally or correctly, ironic given we advise clients how to treat their staff properly. Very pressured and pay is low.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you recognise the capability of many of our colleagues, the quality of our clients, and the contribution of good managers across the business. We agree that these are important strengths and play a key role in delivering value to our clients and supporting our teams. We’re sorry to hear that your overall experience has also included areas of concern. We take feedback around workplace culture, professionalism and behaviour very seriously. We expect all colleagues to treat one another with respect and dignity, and we have clear standards and processes in place to support this. Where issues are raised, they are reviewed and addressed appropriately. As a growing organisation operating across a number of specialist areas, we recognise that change and complexity can sometimes create challenges in how connected teams feel. We continue to focus on improving alignment, communication and consistency across the business to support a positive employee experience. We also acknowledge your comments regarding pressure and reward. We understand the importance of balancing performance expectations with wellbeing, and we regularly review how we support colleagues in demanding roles. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

Career opportunities are good. Salaries are decent. There are some nice individuals within the business.

Cons

Awful, awful dictatorship style management from the top down. Massive labour turnover. An utterly ridiculously political environment. Some leaders in the business are more concerned with escalating their own image and financial worth within the business and they are happy to use you as cannon fodder. Lied to, on a number of occasions. Told there would be a secure job for us after restructures, only to find out some of our jobs had already been recruited for and then individuals previously told there would be a place for them at WN have then been made redundant. They literally couldn't care less about your wellbeing if they tried... They have just launched a wellbeing charter - which would be great. However on recent group meetings there has even been ridiculous things like a 'car park hierarchy' where the senior people in the business get to park closer to the door, and the minions have to park further down the car park. Awful, awful, awful, toxic and damaging environment.

Thank you for taking the time to write this feedback. We're so sorry to hear of your experiences and can assure you that a great deal of work has been carried out recently to set the foundation for a positive culture within WorkNest, including the articulation of our Values and holding people to account if they are not aligned to these. We are also progressing our leadership development and I can assure you that no such hierarchy exists today. Thank you for your contribution and we wish you well in your future plans.
