Pros
The doctors and social workers genuinely care about the patients
Cons
Low pay for the level of education and experience that the clinical staff possess, no regular pay increases. The managers are all very young and most have no prior management experience. Overall there is very poor communication, unclear expectations, and even when staff members voice their concerns and unhappiness in their jobs management doesn’t listen or make actual changes. There are no professional development opportunities or reimbursement for continuing education. They pretend to value their employees and offer an incredible work life balance but they micromanage and don’t trust the staff. So many staff are expected to work well over 40 hours per week without overtime pay but they want to pretend it doesn’t happen. There are no rewards or compensation for performance. They are constantly making changes to policies but nothing is clearly communicated, even to the patients who are impacted by changes.
