While we did go through layoffs in June that were a direct result of the DEA’s proposed new rules, we know this still does leave lasting marks on our former employees who were affected.
To be clear, these layoffs referenced here were completed in June 2023 and no more layoffs are anticipated. Workit did not replace these roles, and it is categorically not true that these reduced roles were replaced with new staff after that layoff. We have created new jobs in November and December, as we grow again.
In terms of any changes for the clients, I'm sorry to hear your previous experience in June wasn't a strong one. We are proud that each iteration of our model of care goes through rigorous testing with members, with iterations only becoming permanent if members favor this change. I'd like to hear more about any previous changes you were unhappy with, though, as we're always open to improving both our employee and member experience.
