Hello, and thank you for your feedback.
While we did go through layoffs in June that were a direct result of the DEA’s proposed new rules, we know this still does leave lasting marks on our former employees who were affected.
To be clear, these layoffs referenced here were completed in June 2023 and no more layoffs are anticipated. Workit did not replace these roles, and it is categorically not true that these reduced roles were replaced with new staff after that layoff.
In terms of counseling being removed, we’d like to address this concern as well. Workit Health transitioned its Behavioral Health model of care from individual sessions to group based intervention. Behavioral health services, although a different modality, increased the number of offerings for members to connect with a counselor. It is incorrect that we do not offer counseling, and behavioral health, generally to our members. We know how important BH services are, and agree with you they should – and will – continue to be a part of our model of care.
Thank you again for your feedback, and the opportunity for us to clarify our internal processes. If you’d like to discuss further, please feel free to get in touch with me directly at sirvine@workithealth.com. If not, then I continue to wish you the best in your new role!
Warmly,
Sara Irvine
