Pros

International and multicultural work environment; intellectually-stimulating work; opportunities to develop new areas of expertise; opportunities to travel to developing countries; multilingual offices; friendly staff.

Cons

Very difficult, if not impossible, to get promoted; too many re-organizations of departments makes it difficult to get work done; project budgets are too small to hire enough consultants to get projects done; no overtime pay.

Pros

- Good benefits for staff: PTO, salary, 3-4 days in office, nice cafeteria...

Cons

- Highly hierarchical organization with many (many) layers of management. - Limited opportunities for advancement due to low turnover in senior leadership positions. - Retaliation? Yes, sir. Employees may be reluctant to challenge leadership or speak up. - Modernization and organizational change happen slowly, with a government-like pace. - Global initiatives often lack sufficient international perspective, as decisions are frequently driven by US-based VPs and managers who are perceived as having the final word. - Too many VPs and too few junior staff, resulting in heavy workloads for junior employees with limited recognition, compensation, or opportunities for career growth.
