A lot of leadership talks a lot about the culture, without actually embodying it. C-Suite has a great vision, but the further down the chain, and the further away from HQ, you get the more you see the cracks forming.
Nepotism and Favoritism - A lot of folks are promoted/hired based on current performance rather than suitability for the role. A good Order Manager or Warehouse Associate isn't automatically a good supervisor or manager.
Slow to remove bad apples - There's a lot of talk about coaching and "finding the right seat on the bus", but when it really comes down to coaching "out" or removing people from a bad fit position, it's a slow and painful process that actually causes harm.
Compensation - Salary is way below average, and uneven. The person sat next to you doing the exact same job could be earning 10-20k more just because they asked for it in their interview process and you didn't.
