Pros

WWT allows autonomy to do your job without any micro-management. Managers still have an open door policy that is practiced and preached in my area. I feel valued as an employee and am rewarded by some of the best benefits and perks I have encountered anywhere . There is an emphasis placed on team-building, networking, and social events to build camaraderie and trust across departments. I have fun in my role and enjoy the people I get to work with! Work/life balance is real here- if you work hard, you are rewarded for it.

Cons

Formal leadership training programs like NOVA seem to be very difficult to get into. Not sure what the selection criteria is or how to get noticed in a team full of A+ players. I understood that new compensation plans were going to be a priority from a Corporate update, but have not seen any communications or plans laid out to right-side salaries of existing employees. Unfortunately, it seems in order to get a nice raise, you have to leave the company and come back at a premium price, even if you didn't gain any additional experience. Even with promotions, raises tend to be much less than IT industry standards.

Departments have a limited number of individuals they can nominate for each session. I suggest you let your manager and/or department vice president know of your interest in being considered for the next NOVA session. Lots of org changes. 4 different managers in less than 5 years. Manages to OTE well. Hard to make 7 figure VAR earnings due to increasing quotas every year and decreased GP payout

My manager was very supportive she would give great feedback and try to help me grow . The people were awesome. My coworkers were great and supportive.

Cons

For all the projects we had regional managers there was one that had it out for me. This person was relentless and I went to my manager. The problem I had with this person was they never stop coming after me and my manager tried to stop this person in their tracks, but they tried a way to come after me. My manager’s manager was kind of not a good manager because he was all about the numbers and he didn’t care about the person. He never once had a one-to-one conversation with me I noticed that he played favorites with people and it’s just not good to do that. I believe that as a senior manager, you have to get to know your team instead of hearing what other people say. There was a senior project manager out there who essentially threw me under the bus. When people would resign, all of the projects that were left behind by the previous person they would dump it on one person. It is a lot of work to dump on a person. Some managers would help you grow and there are others that will do the work behind your back on a project. There was one who would start adjusting my project numbers and get mad at me. Mind you this was my first year and this manager would throw me under the bus. “Great Workplace?” Please
