Pros

The people on the floor - they are the heart and soul of WWT. We are given the option for company healthcare, which is 25 bucks a month (as long as we meet our company goals). They encourage people to stay at WWT - Matching 401K, increased PTO at certain year-based milestones, and opportunities for further education through colleges (though I'm not sure what full-time employees can really take advantage of the classes).

Cons

There is little room to move up in the company, and even the individuals who have been elected for their management roles are not always the best for the job. This company preaches honesty, integrety, and falls flat when delivering any of these "core values" to their employees. They are not providing a livable wage, and as a result we are short staffed and encouraging our already tired "essential" workers who have been working non-stop during the pandemic to work overtime and weekends in order to hit production goals. We charge the customers at least $35 an hour for employee labor, but our technicians only ever see $15-20 of that. WWT has the customer in mind to a fault and will push their employees to deliver. There is little to no training - you are expected to learn on the job and through documentation (which is never up-to-date). There are no consequences for job performance, which is disheartening to see employees going above and beyond to pick up the slack of others who can't be bothered to learn their role. I work in L4, and with the amount of miscommunication/overall disfunction of the lab alone it is wonder how we are still in business. We are not staffed for the production we have, we are not trained for the production we have, and we are being put on overtime in order to handle it. It is a very frustrating job and as a lead I wanted nothing more than to help my team get organized and succeed as people, but with everyone chasing their tails and barking orders, it's impossible to help anyone grow here.

Thank you for this thoughtful feedback. Please check the employee handbook or contact HR for questions about continuing education and training; both are great programs in providing individual improvement and development. WWT utilizes several external compensation resources to ensure we are paying a competitive wage for all work that is performed. We understand that every individual has different needs. There are currently over 400 positions available. If you are open to exploring other roles that may pay a higher compensation, please reach out to a member of the talent acquisition team or check the positions that are available online. If you have other suggestions or would like to participate in helping with improvements, we would appreciate hearing more. Thanks again.

Pros

My manager was very supportive she would give great feedback and try to help me grow . The people were awesome. My coworkers were great and supportive.

Cons

For all the projects we had regional managers there was one that had it out for me. This person was relentless and I went to my manager. The problem I had with this person was they never stop coming after me and my manager tried to stop this person in their tracks, but they tried a way to come after me. My manager’s manager was kind of not a good manager because he was all about the numbers and he didn’t care about the person. He never once had a one-to-one conversation with me I noticed that he played favorites with people and it’s just not good to do that. I believe that as a senior manager, you have to get to know your team instead of hearing what other people say. There was a senior project manager out there who essentially threw me under the bus. When people would resign, all of the projects that were left behind by the previous person they would dump it on one person. It is a lot of work to dump on a person. Some managers would help you grow and there are others that will do the work behind your back on a project. There was one who would start adjusting my project numbers and get mad at me. Mind you this was my first year and this manager would throw me under the bus. “Great Workplace?” Please
