Good coworkers; mediocre management - Graduate Teaching Assistant Wright State University Employee Review

Pros

Generally, professors and teaching assistants sincerely want to help students learn. Also, there is a moderately good sense of camaraderie.

Cons

The pay is painfully poor. Also, teaching assistants haven’t received a raise in at least a decade. Furthermore, teaching assistants routinely work well beyond their 20 hour a week limit. If you are a graduate student, you are unlikely to have time for another job.
