Pros

The company is always forward-thinking, constantly reviewing and improving all aspects, especially on the tech and admin side. The company pays fair wages, and admin roles can be hybrid. A few years ago, due to market research on wages per role, they raised my pay individually and raised the pay of employees in the entire building in which I work. This showed a clear priority on fairness for employees. Over the last couple of years in a soft market, the company has outperformed its peers and not gone into negative performance and revenue numbers. This is due to very positive and strategic decisions in pursuing certain kinds of business made by leadership that have saved us in many ways from additional layoffs that other companies are experiencing in the logistics world. The CEO is high-energy and generates positive excitement for all employees.

Cons

Adaptation to a constantly changing environment requires pre-communication, advanced feedback, and overcommunication throughout the process, and this could be better. Sick time is not separate from PTO. If you're unexpectedly sick, you have to use PTO or borrow PTO from the next year. In Customer Experience, there can at times be an imbalance between profit/policy vs making customers happy. While there are always mitigating factors, circumstances, and exceptions, often valid charges are written off without fidelity to the business. This can be frustrating for employees who are trying to be fair to both the company and the customer, carefully evaluating each situation in accordance with the facts. The heavy emphasis on AI implementation has not been met with honest conversation about what this means for job security. Often leadership answers with how AI will make jobs easier, but then conversations are overheard about how and when staff cuts can take place after certain AI measures are demonstrated to be performing effectively. It can be difficult to advance without moving out of state. There is an emphasis in the hiring process on new resumes over against performance of current loyal employees who apply internally. The behavioral interviewing (asking for you to tell situational stories to reflect competence) should be rethought. Some people don't recall specific details well for precise scenarios that you're grading when put on the spot.

Pros

One of the better LTL companies I’ve been to. Will work with you for the most part

Cons

The vacation set up is dumb. No sick days you get 3 weeks PTO for sick and personal days and it’s almost impossible to take a day off you didn’t put in in November of the previous year then force you to use pto when you call in. Some management is ok but most is not the greatest
