Access to latest technical repair info. Ability to perform needed repairs to keep equip. safe and reliable and in compliance. Tools and equip. Is quality and kept in good condition. Long time Co workers are great, new employees not near as dedicated.
Cons
Company could careless about front line Mgrs. their only concern is about hourly employees. They fear Unions and give them anything to keep them happy so as to not vote in unions. Long time dedicated employs are treated like second class citizens. They certainly do not practice what they preach when it comes to management staff. Mgrs.. fear reprimanding hourly employees for poor performance because of negative HR reviews will have you on hot seat. Managers Salaries are well below market value for responsibility, hours and stress you are subject to. Do not expect to be praised for hard work and dedication. You will find that hourly employees will likely make more than you when you count hours worked. Obvious change in attitude to front line mgrs. after XPO takeover and it is negative. XPO has not invested in upgrading equip. and has many fearing that current Owner may be sucking the assets out of company and not reinvesting and will leave a shell of a company just to make his numbers look good for investors. Lack of experience in asset heavy companies and the responsibility to maintain those assets. Losing experience base at an alarming rate for above reasons and replacing with lower paid inexperienced who will work for lower pay just to get foot in the door.
