Pros

Good 401k, ok health insurance. Some of the hourly and salary employees are pretty cool. They also know what they are doing and work together. Those few are hard workers. If you survive this place then you can work anywhere.

Cons

This place cares more about Stock Share Holders than the Customer. With panicky domicile management, disconnected upper management and dim-witted procedures, its the perfect storm. Have to perform the most useless, non-needle moving reports that accomplish nothing. In order to get everything done you basically have to pencil whip it. So in the end, why do it? No equipment, No hourly staff. FMLA rules the day. It's like a cancer at the Romulus terminal. Literally bleeding out hourly staff because they hate working there. Many of the solid old timers have thrown in the towel. They have had enough. As a result, morale is low because everybody is overworked and frustrated. Management could care less just keep on cracking the whip until of course you quit or get canned. Can't get anybody to apply for hourly jobs. If they do get through the interview process they rarely stay more than 6months. And guess what, winter is just around the corner and when the new dock employees get a taste of the Michigan winter blowing through the dock, well, might as well wave goodbye to them now. When you sit down and interview you better ask some probing questions and try to detect if they are sincere and honest answers or not. Supervisors are trying to stick together but not much of them left. So expect to be over-worked (12-13hr days on avg.) and miserable with no end in sight. But hey, if you enjoy roasting your marsh-mellows over a warm dumpster fire to give you that warm and fuzzy feel; then go ahead and sign up.

Pros

I have enjoyed my time with XPO and appreciate the opportunities the company has provided for both personal and professional growth. The team environment is supportive, and I've had the chance to build strong relationships with coworkers and customers over the years. One of the things I value most is that hard work and dedication are recognized. Every day brings new challenges, which keeps the job interesting and allows me to continue learning. Leadership encourages employees to find solutions and work together to provide excellent customer service. Like any large company, there are busy periods and opportunities for improvement, but overall, XPO offers a solid career path, competitive benefits, and the chance to make a real impact. If you're someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is willing to put in the effort, XPO can be a rewarding place to build a career.

Cons

The transportation industry is constantly changing, so employees need to be adaptable and able to handle shifting priorities. Workloads can be demanding at times, but the teamwork and customer relationships make it rewarding
