I joined Xencor because I felt like my research skills and interest in antibodies were really well aligned.
Cons
Unfortunately, as promising as the science is, the political climate here is devastating and gets in the way of doing good work. Leadership does nothing about the internal one up-manship and fighting. Also, it's a major hotbed for gossip and that happens in departments that should very much know better.
