Xero has made some poor senior hires recently. Generally people that blow hard on their own trumpet. It seems there are unrealistic expectations these people will enter the organisation, wave a magic wand and all problems will be solved. but there are no quick wins meaning these people either get turfed out early for not getting instant results, or, they manage upwards and score brownie points to secure their own existence but don't support their teams who are doing the real work.
Xero's strategy seems to consist of an ever growing wish list of things that the product team should now be building. There seems to be an unwillingness to make the hard calls that give the organisation focus. This means that product teams are very stretched across too many initiatives and trying to maintain too many code bases
