Pros
Remote working options, flexibility, was filled with wonderful people prior to the latest restructure.
Cons
Management, pretty much across the board are the reason for Xero's current woes yet the workers are the ones dealing with the fall out. Years of bad decisions go unchallenged. Leaders often lack the capability to lead at all and in some cases are bullies and seem to have very little strategic experience. Way too much change for no reason, they don't measure success or reflect on what works and what doesn't so just keep on making the same mistakes over and over again. Decisions are made based on who yells the loudest and who is the biggest bully not what is right for customers or employees. Because they lack consistent employee basics like performance reviews and development pathways, when the restructure came so many good people got made redundant and so many poor performers stayed. There are senior leaders who flout policy openly and it's swept under the carpet by HR. It's very much who you know not what you are good at. So great if you are a mediocre white man, no good for anyone else that wants to do anything other than what they are told or challenge how things are done. I'd give it at least a year or a new LT team before I'd apply. It's a circus but without the fun.
