Pros
Bear market stability. Market leader in Programmable Logic, established clientelle, business practices. Good work life balance, middle level managers allow freedom in design methods and workhours. Once it was one of the filve best companies to work for, since then the CEO, upper management along with HR has changed.
Cons
Limited career opportunities - most management jobs are filled from the outside, which results to 'seasoned' managers hired to lead people whose jobs management is not familiar with. The company is in a state of flux since the departure of Wim Roelandts. Acquisitions, interdepartmental mergers and splits, periodic hiring freezes, layoffs decimate people and projects. With each person leaving, the company looses the time invested into that person. With each project killed, the development time invested already is lost. These are all signs of the management lacking strategic vision.
