Xilinx really needs to learn how to develop software. They do too many software releases per year, therefore you are always in release mode. Software is bloated (6 GByte footprint). Worst part the new CEO is going back to the old school way of thinking (more LUTs, comparison vs. Altera, not thinking about solutions, just silicon) Layoffs really changed the culture.
