      -4 10's shift, every Friday off - lots of opportunities to learn - high degree of teamwork with competent coworkers

      Cons

      -no phones allowed in the secured area -can take a while to get to your work area, counting traffic and walking to your building. For me, it was about an hour from apartment to work area (lived 20 minutes away). This time is unpaid -walking back to car and traffic when leaving at the end of the day can also heavily impact time spent returning home

      Good work schedule 4 days on 3 days off, big safety culture. Seems to emphasize on retention. Lots of cool projects and opportunities to learn.

      Projects a bit slow sometimes, ongoing major construction.

      - Four 10-hour workdays weekly, plus time balancing - Very strong job security - Work-life balance is very good - Work culture is good, the people are very down-to-earth and relaxed - The work supports an important, meaningful mission

      - DoE work pacing is very slow at times - Opaque promotion system that seemingly rewards less experienced new hires much more than long-term employees, with respect to time in grade
