Pros
- If you're lucky, you get to work with a great management, including VP's. These people can be mentors and friends. - Benefits are great; fully paid HMO, dental; small fee for vision; fun perks like company events and gift cards for job well done - Opportunities to advance or switch teams are there, but they're slow in coming and stuck in bureaucracy
Cons
- wages not commensurate with experience or responsibilities which leads to high turnover - Bureaucratic - Perception is that promotions are based on brown-nosing rather than actual competency in some instances - when employees are given additional responsibilities, basically making them do two people's jobs, a raise should be involved. There shouldn't be a nearly year-long delay.
