Pros

* Some intelligent and incredibly talented people dedicated to the mission * Capable young talent passionate about making change in their own life * Decent benefits, especially for a nonprofit * For a while there, we had a nice WFH thing going * If you grab the bull by its horns, pretty good career growth

Cons

* A masterpiece in mismanaging change management: since July 2023, every quarter has brought on a slew of disorienting changes that leaders expect frontline staff to magically catch up to * Unclear direction: no one really knows where the organization is headed for the long term, but the goals are pretty lofty * Burnout! Even if you don't burnout, your team members will, and you'll have to pick up the pieces when they inevitably go on sabbatical * You're not going to be compensated commensurately when you're suddenly doing work that's several levels above your job title * You're going to have go out of your way to get that career growth, by the way * ...Not sure if all of these people should be telling young people how to get ahead in their career, though certainly some brilliant people here as well

Pros

- Competitive compensation - Excellent organizational leadership, passion, and culture - Programs really make a difference in the students' lives

Cons

Any new site comes with some growing pains and so we are still figuring some things out as we go. Could use a little more direction or "best practices" from other sites or leadership. But again, these things come with any new sites!
