Pros
- It is a great organization to work for solely based on the mission (Helping the under-serviced) - It is an organization that is willing to invest in their employees by providing multiple training sessions and skills building workshops - Motivating energy and drive within the community - You will find an abundance of education and growth
Cons
- Former Alumni's are not given the room to fulfill their outmost potential (which in a sense contradicts the organizations mission itself) I felt as if to be kept in a square box when performing repetitive tasks as an acquisition coordinator, I was not given the room to explore the HR side of my role. - Management lacks support for their teams ( some managers are out of the office so frequent that there is no one-on-one relationship building, only expectations being demanded ) - which I felted was a leading cause to the termination of my contract -You will get over worked (However, the mission makes it all worth the effort and time invested) -If looking into a contract role - please do not do it ( if you are an Alumni) I experienced a great amount of disappointment with the organizations senior leadership team. There was a tremendous amount of miscommunication when it came to important benefits, like healthcare. Once I realized that my benefits were not as promised, the agreement with wages made it feel like I was not compensated adequately.
