Pros

They help connect trainees to jobs

Cons

The organization is moving to a fully virtual training model at a time when employers are heavily focused on a return to office (RTO). Employees seems to be less connected to the mission as communication bottlenecks are rampant. Organizational change happens in a vacuum and then can't be fully explained to staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We value all feedback, and I can confirm as a YUU staff member myself that we have real humans reviewing every Glassdoor review. As well, we make sure to escalate concerns to leadership given appreciation for the care and time that goes into leaving reviews, and the importance of feedback within the organization. With that in mind, we would encourage you to discuss your experiences with us further. If you email us at feedback@yearupunited.org, we’ll be in touch to find time to connect.

Pros

- Competitive compensation - Excellent organizational leadership, passion, and culture - Programs really make a difference in the students' lives

Cons

Any new site comes with some growing pains and so we are still figuring some things out as we go. Could use a little more direction or "best practices" from other sites or leadership. But again, these things come with any new sites!
