Pros
- There are some good people at the company, you will meet people who you want to be friends with but there are also people who want to pretend to be your friend - Free coffee/lunch, especially given the office is located in Chelsea, its nice to have a lunch paid for especially when everything is so expensive. - Interesting product, i think it definitely has its benefits it just takes some time to understand all of Yext's solution and their applicability
Cons
When I say high school culture, that's mostly in reference to the cons. - Managers clearly play favorites, regardless of what you do or your reasoning, One of their favorites? Go on vacation and they won't count a couple days against your PTO, if you're not, you will find it more difficult to do everything (it was clear from the interview that my manager did not really seem to care, shouldve taken it as a sign) - DEI is a joke at this company, which is funny because every month there is a new inclusive happy hour for a new group we're highlighting. Stop being inclusive when you feel like it or if it fits a happy hour theme and start being inclusive when it matters. - Someone on here mentioned a "kiss the ring" attitude in the presence of leadership - could not agree more, my own manager was afraid of interacting with their boss, it became a joke amongst our team. - Response to layoffs can't be to just work harder every time, especially when upper management seems to lie about layoffs happening every couple of months, maybe because they refer to them as "strategic restructurings" (get ready to hear a lot about GAAP accounting during all-hands where the CFO basically talks numbers on why we're doing "better" than it looks) - There is a level of toxicity and lack of transparency as soon as you step through the doors. Your success is almost pre-determined as unfortunate as it sounds. If you have issues/objections, keep it to yourself, most people here are more focused on looking good than actually being it.
