Pros

Pros: Some great clients and a few supportive coworkers.

Cons

My time at YogaSix was disappointing due to major issues with leadership, communication, and how employee concerns were handled. The studio struggled with basic responsibilities for example, the heated rooms were often not pre heated, leaving clients frustrated and staff having to apologize repeatedly. Even with constant reminders, nothing meaningful changed. What concerned me most was the lack of support when reporting uncomfortable or inappropriate behavior. When I raised legitimate concerns, instead of feeling heard or protected, I felt dismissed. Shortly afterward, I was removed from one of the locations without any explanation. It felt unprofessional and retaliatory, and it made it clear that speaking up was not valued or safe. There are also serious problems with the management structure. One of the managers was promoted to Operations Manager even though he does not currently perform operational duties and is essentially acting as maintenance. This causes confusion, uneven expectations, and a lack of leadership presence where it’s actually needed. It contributes to an overall sense that roles are given based on convenience rather than qualifications or performance.

Pros

* I believed in the brand. The YogaSix methodology is accessible, welcoming, and provides a strong foundation for introducing yoga to a wide range of students. *I had the opportunity to co-facilitate multiple Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programs, which was one of the most rewarding aspects of my experience. Supporting aspiring teachers and watching them develop their confidence was incredibly fulfilling. *I enjoyed mentoring and onboarding new instructors, leading trainings, and helping teachers build the skills needed to succeed in the studio environment. *I met many talented, passionate, students who genuinely cared about creating a positive community. Those relationships were one of the highlights of my time with the company.

Cons

Leadership lacked consistency and accountability. Communication from management was often unclear, expectations shifted without explanation, and decisions appeared inconsistent. This created an environment where employees struggled to trust leadership. *High turnover created an unstable workplace. During my time with the organization, I witnessed what appeared to be nearly complete annual turnover across both management and staff. The constant departures made it difficult to maintain strong teams, preserve institutional knowledge, or provide a consistent experience for employees and members. *Business growth appeared to take priority over operational stability. My impression was that the company continued to heavily promote and sell Yoga Teacher Training programs while unresolved issues with leadership consistency, instructor continuity, and employee retention remained. I believe addressing these operational challenges first would have better served both employees and trainees.
