Pros
* I believed in the brand. The YogaSix methodology is accessible, welcoming, and provides a strong foundation for introducing yoga to a wide range of students.
*I had the opportunity to co-facilitate multiple Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programs, which was one of the most rewarding aspects of my experience. Supporting aspiring teachers and watching them develop their confidence was incredibly fulfilling.
*I enjoyed mentoring and onboarding new instructors, leading trainings, and helping teachers build the skills needed to succeed in the studio environment.
*I met many talented, passionate, students who genuinely cared about creating a positive community. Those relationships were one of the highlights of my time with the company.
Cons
Leadership lacked consistency and accountability. Communication from management was often unclear, expectations shifted without explanation, and decisions appeared inconsistent. This created an environment where employees struggled to trust leadership.
*High turnover created an unstable workplace. During my time with the organization, I witnessed what appeared to be nearly complete annual turnover across both management and staff. The constant departures made it difficult to maintain strong teams, preserve institutional knowledge, or provide a consistent experience for employees and members.
*Business growth appeared to take priority over operational stability. My impression was that the company continued to heavily promote and sell Yoga Teacher Training programs while unresolved issues with leadership consistency, instructor continuity, and employee retention remained. I believe addressing these operational challenges first would have better served both employees and trainees.
