Pros
The people who work at York are all great. There's a real sense of community, at least among the technicians. Managers pay attention and are pretty open about things. The pay is, from what I understand, very competitive for this sort of position. You aren't shoehorned into working just one thing; anything you're interested in learning about and working on is available to you. Everybody kind of does a little of everything.
Cons
Still definitely working through some growing pains. The organizational and process management systems are frequently lacking if they exist at all. They are working on it though and it is definitely getting better. Sometimes it can feel like problems aren't really being paid attention to from the higher levels of management. There is a bit of a gulf between the engineering and technician departments and, at least for now, work gets put on hold almost constantly due to either engineering drawing problems or issues with the system that they use to disseminate work orders and directions.
