Business Outlook
Pros
Important work done with youth and families. This is everyone's favorite part about YAP's approach. Compassionate mission and guiding principles. Dedicated staff (CLS, Therapists, Advocates, Mentors) that work hard and provide a much needed service.
Cons
Low wages, not a lot of FT positions available at entry level. Senior level leaders seem to not play by they same rules as lower level staff are expected to. Hours can be unpredictable due to crisis work. Pressure to perform is pushed down the ranks.
