Pros

They are very friendly when it comes to their managers for the program. They are very experienced when it comes to leading the programs and they are very well structured. They make sure that you, as a brand ambassador, are taken care of (lots of product from the brand and you are paid mid semester and at the end of the semester) but also that you follow all requirements for the program.

Cons

They expect a lot of you as a brand ambassador and have strict deadlines. This poses as a problem when you have a lot of events and promos that you need to advertise while also fulfilling your responsibilities as a student with school and other organizations

Pros

Supportive Team Culture: One of the biggest highlights was the incredibly supportive, collaborative, and welcoming team. I felt valued, encouraged, and trusted throughout the internship. Hands-On Experience: I was given meaningful tasks and responsibilities, especially on accounts like Maybelline and Cécred, which made me feel like a real contributor—not just an intern. Exposure to Variety: The fast-paced agency environment meant every day felt different. Working across multiple brand accounts kept things fresh and exciting. Opportunities for Initiative: I appreciated the ability to express interest in specific projects. My manager, Lexi, always encouraged me to explore what I was curious about, which led to deeper learning and more tailored experiences. Confidence-Building: Presenting, interviewing, and taking ownership of projects significantly boosted my confidence and professional growth.

Cons

Not-Quite-Cons (aka Learning Opportunities): I didn’t get to sit in on many client calls due to scheduling, but even without that, I gained a strong understanding of how YMC manages client relationships through internal discussions, prep work, and campaign execution. And honestly, the biggest con is that I don’t want it to end. I truly wish I could stay on with this team and this incredible company forever. I’ve learned so much, felt deeply supported, and had the most amazing, fulfilling experience.
