Pros
Job security, average benefits, minimal accountability, decent work environment. Depending on the department you're in and your supervisor, it could be good.
Cons
It is a Japanese company after all so the company is very slow to change and management/decision makers are all from overseas...some good some bad. It doesn't motivate employees from here because all the management positions are taken by someone with limited knowledge of locality. Veterans of the company don't seem too motivated, they just go through the motions...very little mentoring and encouragement of skill development.
