Pros and Cons of working at ZF India Pvt. Ltd. - Senior Engineer ZF Group Employee Review

Good time off and salary.

Leadership all in Germany, decisions can take some time.

Low and mid managers are good. Good work life balance. I would give my manager and his manager 5 stars.

HR sucks...arrogant group of people. Engineering put on a podium, more educated than techs... treat us like pee ons. No room for growth without a degree and kissing up. Coming Do not come here to expect to make a career out it. SENORITY DOESNT EXIST! I have been with the company for 10+ years and I have a 2 year degree in a releated field...and they will NOT even look at my resume for internal hire jobs (entry level too) HR and Germany are as bad as they get...squeeze the guys on the bottom to make up for the mistakes the company made. The most sad thing is... the employees, lower level and mid level management is amazing...the issue is from the top...you do everything right... and you still can't get ahead... YOUR MANAGERS WILL TRY TO PROMOTE YOU BUT SOMETIMES CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH!!! You do everything right do not come in late, go above and beyond, try to benefit yourself (and do what's best for the company) they simple don't care. You are a number. Company is in major debt... and are squeezing the guys at the bottom. Selling a division to offset losses and leaving everyone in the dark. As a result the moral is 0...the employees don't care anymore, do the bare minimum and come in late... why. Because it doesn't matter. Steer clear. You have to beg for a raise. You likely still won't get it. TRW was a better company. Pay isn't great either. But if I was paid what I was paid, and was able to advance. Would be worth it. Degrees mean more then any work ethic here. Engineering is put on a pedestal...company is full of arrogant people who view you as a "pee on" But I dont take it personal, you know why. They are billions in debt...and above is the reason why.
