Pros

Engineering management is mostly pretty laid back.

Cons

Very rigid work schedule; 9am-6pm. No real flexibility on working hours. Outside of engineering management, other departments seemed (from my opinion as an engineer) to be more strict and wanted to have more say in how you did your job.

Pros

Great management while working autonomously, never had any issues as the culture was very rewarding without being overwhelming.

Cons

If you can't work well autonomously and be able to figure out what you need to do then probably not the best fit for the role.

Company offers ability to grow You can learn a lot if you seek it out

Cons

Contract work Mid to upper managment dont care about work life balance at all. As in dont blink an eye at 20+hr days for weeks on end.
