Pros

If you go the extra mile to work hard, you are definitely compensated(albeit not much). Company has a friendly atmosphere, the head of engineering is one of the nicest person I've ever met(KT). During lunch I listened to him talk about philosophy/religion every day, very enlightening. I think he changed my perspective on life. Company has a get stuff done attitude, which I liked. During non-busy times, you get the opportunity to do some self learning/soul searching(as long as they don't have to pay for it)

Cons

Below average compensation overall. I think even my manager realizes this, he has given me some off the book benefits, but extend of it is not much compared to a real pay check. ( In my current job and got a 300% raise, Now I make 4 times what I used to. This is not achievable in ZT) Personal connection gets you further than actual abilities. Lack of transparency, HR agreed to pay me a higher salary that what was actually paid. I didn't know until I got my check(this practice is very unprofessional) Although company lists 401k and medical benefit, no one in the company actually gets them. (401k is something like 1;1 match totaling 3%). Medical is ridiculously expensive and not the best(like 350+ per person). These benefits are not worth having(they just mentioned it to have it on the list)

Pros

Great management while working autonomously, never had any issues as the culture was very rewarding without being overwhelming.

Cons

If you can't work well autonomously and be able to figure out what you need to do then probably not the best fit for the role.

Pros

They don’t micromanage. Also, no silly performance and productivity reports. They’re also not too harsh if you’re late or want to leave a bit early.

Cons

There’s no growth here. People have been working for over 15 years and can only reach the team lead position. All upper management is hired from outside. Salaries are below market average because employees work on visas. They expect you to do extra work every year but never promote you or significantly raise your salary. The benefits are terrible. They don’t even give you PTO balance in advance. They try to make you feel guilty when you take sick days.
