Pros
Very flexible for working from in office or at home. Entrepreneurial environment in that you are given end goals to accomplish and not a set way or schedule to get there, as well as your ideas to create better processes will be taken seriously. This environment isn't for everyone as it can be seen as no training and chaotic to some people. I learned a lot during my time at Zayo.
Cons
Very stressful. Pay is below competitors and industry average while living cost is very expensive in Boulder and Denver. Work/life balance is overwhelming. (65 hours a week) Raises are extremely rare across the board. PTO is available, but is a significant hardship to use because 1 PTO day = 9-12 hours of extra work waiting when you get back. My experience with compensation was being told I need to do A, B and C in order to get a raise. Accomplished that, but was then told I also need to do D, E and F. Accomplished that, then was approved for a raise by my manager and also by her manager, but not approved by upper management. Reasoning I was given was that you definitely deserve a raise, but it's just not a good time. This seems to be a very common story at Zayo.
