Pros

I had to reply, after seeing the extremely poor review posted below. I have to say that my experience has been very good with Zayo. I came from the large telecom down the turnpike, and in comparison, working at Zayo has been MUCH better. If you are familiar with said other telecom, the different would be night / day to Zayo. First, my manager is amazing. She is also a subject matter expert and if ever I have a question, all I have to do is ask. Yes there are overtime hours, HOWEVER the ability to work from home shows the progressive, forward thinking of Zayo management. Can you really complain about longer hours when you get to work in your sweat pants? Also, how many hours in a day do you spend commuting to your job? That is unpaid, wasted time, gas, wear and tear on your car, etc. I would much rather work at 45-50 hour week from home, than have to drive in the snow everyday to L3 or be forced to take PTO. Zayo trusts their employees but expects a lot, it's true. There is no arguing that. And yes, they know if you are working. My manager has the ability to run reports, metrics, remotely check your computer, internet history, see when you are online - everything. They know if you are working, period. But come on, again let me point out that not having to commute in the freezing subzero morning Colorado temperatures is wonderful and as long as they allow remote work I will be a faithful employee. I took a hit on benefits to work at Zayo and I don't regret it for a second. There is work / life balance just in the fact that remote work is even allowed. Plus, it saves the company a TON of money, which translates to shareholder savings and profits. Aetna saved like 80 million making most of their company remote. 80 million is a lot of money. All the cool kids are doing it for jobs where it's not necessary to be in the office every day. Plus, it cuts down on office politics. Love the lack of drama at Zayo.

Cons

The health plan offerings are not great compared to competitors and there is zero 401k match. They also recently cut one holiday for next year. So they are scaling back some benefits.

Thanks for the review. I checked on holiday comment -- sounds like this was an administrative mistake... day after Thanksgiving wasn't showing up... according to HR director, no holidays have been cut back.

Pros

Excellent sales enablement, tools, and internal support. Leadership has done a good job creating an environment where Enterprise Account Executives can focus on selling instead of getting bogged down by administrative tasks. CRM data is clean, processes are organized, and responsibilities between Sales, Customer Success, and Account Management are clearly defined. It’s refreshing to work for a company that invests in the systems and structure needed to help its sales teams succeed.

Cons

Ongoing integration efforts following the Crown Castle Fiber acquisition mean some processes and systems are still evolving. As with most enterprise sales roles, building pipeline requires significant self-sourcing and prospecting across a large territory. The product portfolio is extensive, which creates a bit of a learning curve for new hires but also provides opportunities to solve complex customer challenges.
