Pros
I was part of the Cisco ODC- The project I worked in was really good but it is up to me how much knowledge I can extract from it. If you perform well you will be handed down proper development work . If not they just make you write Unit tests or resolve defects.
Cons
I had a workaholic manager, who didn't know how to manage time. We ended up staying late up to 2 sometimes just to make sure the work is done. If you are in your initial years and ready to work long hours you should join. I would suggest don't judge the company on one persons opinion. I feel their are other projects which will provide you some work life balance I hope you find a better manager.
